Komeer: An Award-Winning Irish Start-up Company

Komeer began as a start-up company with a clear vision of improving school communication underpinned by a strong commitment to child safety. We have been very fortunate to have received national and international backing. Komeer was one of 500 global start-ups accepted on the Facebook FbStart Programme in 2016. Komeer was also shortlisted at the Eir Spiders awards as best digital start up 2017.  Most recently Komeer was announced as one of two winners of the Dublin city Innovation Investment Fund Programme.

Working with the Support of Principals:

We have a lot to be proud of in relation to the progress we have made since we started but we could not have achieved any of this without the buy in, co-operation and ongoing support of schools! Principals, in particular have been very supportive of Komeer and continue to spread the Komeer message among their colleagues and within their communities.

The fact that Komeer is free to schools and parents is a great initial way for a school community to engage with our secure two-way messaging service. If this is your first time to hear about Komeer as a Principal, you will be delighted to know that Komeer will save you a significantly reduce your SMS and overall administrative costs. Komeer has sent out over one million alerts to schools and businesses and we are continually listening to our customers and developing innovate ways of improving the communication between schools and parents and other community-based organisations, such as local GAA clubs and sports clubs.

We know and understand that as a Principal you have a huge amount of demands on your time, with this in mind we have ensured that Komeer is easy to set up and start using. We also provide support should you encounter any difficulties.

We regularly interact with Principals at national events such as the IPPN Conference (Irish Primary Principals Network) and PDA (Principal and Deputy Principal Associations), Gaelscoileanna and the ACCS (Association of Community and comprehensive Schools). We have also attended conferences in the UK including ‘Oxfordshire Headteachers Association’ and most recently we met with parents at The School Expo in the RDS.

Take some time to have a look at our recent media coverage. This will give you a real sense of what we are all about at Komeer.

Komeer: Growing Nationally and Internationally

We want the Komeer message of providing an innovative way to safely and securely communicate to grow, both within Ireland and beyond! Komeer is already attracting interest from schools in the UK, India, the USA and Dubai. Ultimately, we want Komeer to be the communications app of choice in every Irish school and to grow from there. Don’t miss the chance for your school to become part of the Komeer story!
