Komeer ticks all the boxes on GDPR

Individuals Rights

1 The right to be informed

Komeer have created this privacy policy which outlines how we obtain and process any information we may collect. This privacy policy is designed for easy navigation and clearly explains how your data is processed and retained.

2 The right of access

Under the GDPR, EU Citizens will have the right to obtain:

  • Confirmation that their personal data are being processed

3 The right to rectification

Under the new GDPR guidelines all data that is stored must always be kept up to date, Komeer have made this very easy for Customer accounts and app users.

Account holders have access to all data which can be updated or edited at any time.

App users can edit their profile details at any time and any changes they make will automatically update in the customers account e.g. School, Creche, Club etc.

4 The right to erasure

The right to erasure is also known as ‘the right to be forgotten’. Once again Komeer have made this very easy to manage for both Customer accounts and app users.

Account holders have the option to delete their account at any time which will erase all data that is attached to their account.

App users also have the option to delete their account within the app which will erase and data they have stored and this will automatically update in the customers account e.g. School, Creche, Club etc.

5 The right to restrict processing

Under the DPA, Parents/Customers have a right to ‘block’ or suppress processing of personal data. The restriction of processing under the GDPR is similar. When processing is restricted, Komeer are permitted to store the personal data, but not further process it.

You can contact help@komeer.com at any time if you request your details to be restricted.

6 The right to data portability

The right to data portability allows individuals to obtain and reuse their personal data for their own purposes across different services. It allows them to move, copy or transfer personal data easily from one IT environment to another in a safe and secure way, without hindrance to usability.

Komeer will provide all data requested in the form of an Excel or CSV file format.

7 The right to object

Customers/Parents have the right to object to:

  • Processing based on legitimate interests or the performance of a task in the public interest/exercise of official authority (including profiling).

Komeer will only contact customers by email to inform them of new feature releases, updates and events relating to Komeer services. Customers can unsubscribe from any mailing list at any time.

8 Rights in relation to automated decision making and profiling

The GDPR provides safeguards for individuals against the risk that a potentially damaging decision is taken without human intervention.

Komeer will only collect data once we receive consent and will never send personal data to any third party for marketing purposes. All of the data received will not be filtered in any way that can be considered as profiling for the use of direct marketing.

Komeer will only contact customers by email to inform them of new feature releases, updates and events relating to Komeer services. Customers can unsubscribe from any mailing list at any time.
